Andy (Odomandr) and Nick (s10nick) and I did Miller Rock today. One of the most inconspicuous trail entrances I have ever seen, it looked like an alley or access to someone's back yard. We went past where the guidebook describes and found some pretty fun stuff and some sketchy stuff too.
I will have a few videos later

Went for a rip with a co-worker. We went up McClellan/Argentine. Made it through most of the lower trails, exploring around. Both Argentine pass and McClellan mountain overlooks have too much snow on the shelf roads. A couple weekends away on McClellan mountain and longer on Argentine. Not many pics as it was a 2 truck group moving fast.

Not sure where you popped out, but I used to manage and live at the ranch at the end of the trail on Overland Road. Used to run that trail all the time. Great fun in the snow too!

Cool! Yeah we called ahead and had them open the gate for us. I felt bad because the rest of the group started airing up on their property and I'm pretty sure that's bad form, but oh well, next time we will know better.

Not sure how it is now, but all the trail reports I read said to "tread lightly" as upsetting the owners of the ranch could essentially lock everyone out, making it difficult to run the trail, as it's mainly a one-way (not an out and back.)

Not sure how the new people are, but as long as it wasn't a busy day it wouldn't have been a problem when I was there! Beautiful property!

Last I heard, the new management has some rock buggies and other assorted toys. Shouldn't be hard to get along with.

Brian did you run up the creek on Mclellan? looks like a fun trip and close to where we got stopped last year or two years ago running that trail.

I don't know in this particular instance, but often times by law private land owners are required to maintain access to public roads. I've seen a lot of instances where you traverse several miles of private land with all sorts of no trespassing signs and the like, to gain access to forest services roads/land. The property owners try hard to scare people off, but they can't legally close access. I would imagine that's the case here.

Sorry this doesn't have more finish and polish on it, I don't have time to do it up like it should be. Too bad there was the water drop on the lens for much of the recording.

Little impromptu run up Kelly Flats with @odomandr and @NativeTaco today.

I didn't really take any pictures for some reason but we had fun.

Playing on the poseur rock at the top of heart attack hill.
    7fmdtHYGI0qDgT9CYG230udtdrTyiuVtnFhFaRuX_16e5be81ad2b3a9d8c4685755c6433368ba80338.jpg

We got some rain. Had some fun. It was good to get up into the mountains for a bit.
There was a chevy pickup abandoned in the middle of heart attack hill blocking the right line so I tried something in the middle and got hung up on my rear diff. I made Travis go around ahead of me and play winch anchor.
Saw a caged early toyota pickup and an old FJ40 run the chutes. Also a couple of Jeeps, one of which tore half a fender off.
