I realize it's been 6 weeks since you posted so you probably already fixed this, but insurance should cover it. If you paid out of pocket I'd still try and start a claim to see if they will reimburse you. If you were at home renters or homeowners insurance may also cover it.

 

Lancaster here ... been enjoying my Tacoma since 2016 when i bought new, just turned over 50k miles. Got some new shoes for my baby today!

Thanks! It "was" a SR5 when i bought new, i have added several things to it like the predator steps, pro grill, pro tail lights, Husky mats and several other things. Just went up a tire size today from the stock 245's to the Toyo Open Country AT3 in 265/75r16
I would like to get bilstein 5100's put on it sometime ... anyone know of a good place in central Ohio to have that done ?

Yes i know about Trails West and have been by there before but like you no experience nor do i know anyone who has.

Nice! The biggest largemouth bass i ever caught (6.3lbs) was from that watershed in Colfax, years back before they drained it .. have not been there in many years so i don't know if it's still good fishing or not?

 

That’s amazing you mentioned that because I caught my first catfish on that before they drained it. I was maybe 6 or 7. I think they dredged it and recently posted new signs but I haven’t dropped a lure in it yet to see how active it is. I see people parked there more now. It’s on my to do list! There’s a pond across the intersection to the Zane trace station that use to be quite active. The owners use to let us use it. Some of those most entertaining surface large mouth fishing I’ve experienced with frog and mouse bait. Covered in moss now haven’t tried that one in years. Not sure if they still are owners but I bet it’s loaded! Went to rush creek earlier this week which was not very active, just some small mouth.

 

Yeah, I didn't want to file a claim as I *just* hit 3 years since my accident and they're finally lowering my rates again. But, I got it fixed *and* I ended up getting alarms installed on my Taco and my wife's RAV4 since they're both parked outside all the time.

I've heard hit or miss about trails west. I grew up in Carroll and know of a few guys that have gotten work done there. I personally wouldnt take my truck with the mess ups I've seen but I also do all my own work to my truck. Installing 5100s isnt any harder than swapping out any other strut so if you know of a decent mechanic you trust they should be able to do it easily.

Jim Mircle in Columbus and John Borchers in Cincinnati area but does meets up for group tuning. Find KD MAX thread here in TW they have Google map list of tuners. John Borchers did mine as he had a meet up in Columbus
