Fack yea!!! The Toyota pickups are the shit!!! I was in love with my 93. It would've smoked my Tacoma on the offroad. Unfortunately I had to sell it before moving to oregon for school. I found out the next owner totaled it 3 weeks later. Sooo pissed!!!!

Dude, if u lived closer, i would buy you a beer for bringing back the memories.

You dont see those old toyotas much anymore, my wife gets annoyed with me cause when i do see one, i always go look at it. She and i were dating at the time i had that, and she HATED it when i would drive that instead of my sti.

Not to clutter, but thought I would share. This is the rig that is getting the 1UZ Lexus 4.0 V8 and a straight axle too!

My second love. Miss this truck so much. She saved my life, wish I had her back.

Thanks buddy. No where near as nice as your past/current rides lol.

@toyotaman- yea man I seen those rides on your build page!!! So sick!!! I didn't even have a chance to build my 4runner because of the never ending head gasket issue....after seeing your 4runner build...I wish I had kept mine lol. I gotta come and check your rides out!!!

The old school toyotas are all over the place in Hawaii...the motors are still going strong, but the trucks are all rusting out lol. Those were the best ones hands down!!!!

sometimes you can get lucky in hawaii and find a toyota pickup in really good shape. i'm talking about the ones owned by old japanese grandpas and only used to take the rubbish to the dump once a week. 80,000 miles, 5 speed, little or no rust, clean body!!! lol

yea!!! with the straight front!!! if i could get a brand new 93 or 94 4x4 toyota pick up...i would jump on that so quick. oh and if downey headers went back into business too...that would be great!!

I just placed my order today for a 2012 TRd sport 4x4 6 speed. How are you liking the manual transmission? Did you get entune with yours?

honestly, it took a me a while to get use to the manual transmission. the first gear is almost like a compound gear you see on diesel trucks etc...so it is really short and low. once i got past that...i am in love with the manual transmission!!! i don't think you will be dissapointed lol. i didn't get the entune with my truck. i got the truck for a great deal so i really stayed away for pushing for the upgrades. congrats on your purchase!!! i'm sure you can't wait to take delivery on your new rig!!!

Oh ok, so do you just start out in second to make it easier or is it not that big of a deal? My 2005 was an automatic and I wanted to try something different. Hmmm, I had a 99 5 spd back in highschool and loved it. Hopefully I made the right decision. They didnt have a manual in stock for me to test drive.
I really like the entune and they giving it to me for a good price. $29,000 is a good deal for yours. Mine is going to be around $30,000-$30,500 since I got the entune added. I can't get the exact price until it's aquisitioned (sp?)

yea 29700 is more of an accurate number lol. i just prefer to drive manual transmissions over automatics. i also tow a lot so the manual transmission helps with taking off and also slowing down.

i was able to take off in second gear before the lift...i haven't really tried since i upgraded to 33s. i'm pretty sure it is still possible.
