    thanks.

i would recommend installing a smaller lift and tires if you will be using this truck as a daily driver as well as a truck for towing. in the long run, i honestly think running the set up i have now will put too much wear and tear on your rig. exactly how big is your boat? i would say you would be okay if your boat was about 14-15 ft or smaller.

as of right now...i average about 17 mpgs with a combination of city and highway driving. i am satisfied with my gas mileage because i do not do a lot of driving, but you may think otherwise because you drive on the interstate a lot.

as far as the price, the stage one lift kit made by pro comp is probably the cheapest. i originally wanted to go with fabtech (because it looks nicer IMO), but i got an amazing deal last christmas that i couldn't pass up.

overall, i think this is a great lift kit. i have friends who have had this lift kit on their trucks for 3 or more years without problems. briefly looking over your situation, i would probably look at something a little smaller and more practical. i'm sure getting in and out of the truck will be pretty hard for the wife and kids with this lift too.

    i hope this helps.

Well my boat is a 19 foot bass tracker with a 140hp mt. My trailer is a 18 foot tandem with out brakes....

Your probably right . I'm thinking about the ome 885s or 886 s . It seems to get the best reviews. But I'd like a little more rake so I'll add the packers and a small leveling spacer on top of that. Mostly because of the bull bar and winch I m getting . Need it for pulling fences and when my friends in Chevys get stuck!

Or maybe the RCD. But I've looked at it and the ride seemed to be exreamly compromised whith that lift... Any news on that. I kinda need the clearance for the boat ramp and a ford on my deer lease . Oh and to get to my gator hunting spot

lol my truck is sailing right now...in the middle of the pacific ocean!!! haha how have you been my friend? any recent wheeling adventures?

the OME lift is a great choice. im sure you will be able to do everything you plan to do with that lift.

your main concern while towing shouldnt be actually pulling the weight, but stopping it lol. i had a friend who towed a 19 ft boat with a v6 92 toyota pickup...he pulled it just fine, but had to be extra cautious while braking.

my family owns a 2010 tacoma which we specifically use for towing. i would also like to get a lift for that truck for some clearance at the boat ramp...i may look into the OME lift as well.

Im 4x4 . And I defiantly understand the stopping part. Id like the clearance so I quit getting hung up in places my 99 Tacoma didn't .
