Wish I was joining you guys but I’m heading to the summit on Sunday. The twat is a fun trip. Two days is pushing it but if you make it be sure to get a meal at Delta Diner...I promise you will not regret it.

Most places I’ve seen say 2.5 days. We are cutting off the first ~100 miles (I’ve already done it) so I think that’s gotta put us pretty well in line to get it done in 2.

Would you mind sharing the part of the route you're doing? Any ideas about camping during the route? Would love to join you this weekend but I've got other plans :/

The gpx track we are following is posted in the last page or so. We are planning on camping in the National forest somewhere.

I can share the track after we are done if you’d like in case there are any closures etc

Just got back from the trail today, every trail up and just past Nicolet Forest were dry as a bone. Had a good night of rain while we were up there which made the trails the perfect combo of wet/dry the next morning. Never once had an issue with traction at any point on it.

The Kathryn Lake campground is closed and the Big Falls campground just north only has about 10 sites. We stayed at the Connors Lake campground in the Flambeau Forest, which is a small jaunt off trail, had about 20 decent sized sites.

I saw that after I mentioned it the other day. A lot of the smaller campgrounds have been "temporarily" closed for several years now:(

We tried to go to one of our favorite places up there a few years back and it was gated off. It's extremely disappointing.

    Sorry to get off topic..

All loaded up! I'm about to head to the lower Wisconsin River area and try to find a place to fish/camp tonight.

I'll see you guys in the morning!

I’m assuming everyone is good to go Saturday? I haven’t seen any additional questions or comments from those going so I’m assuming everyone is set

Based on what I know, there’s gonna be 4 in the morning convoy from by place (me, @Tigerian, @Realoldfatguy & @GQ7227), @ajmogen and @BEAR_KNIFE_FIGHT will meet the group down the road and everyone else (@Thatbassguy and @JOHNNYPICKLES) will be at cabelas in PDC.

And @Cav_BluTRD will be somewhere. It’ll be a surprise :boink:

And @95tojo will be hiding in the bushes wishing he came along.

See you guys at Cabelas in the Morning. Heading out from Chicago at 4am. It’s useless to fight Friday traffic. This city is a trap.
