I’ve done probably 75% of it. There’s some sections I’d recommend and others that are basically just a gravel road tour of Wisconsin which gets pretty old after a while

I think we are heading down to mark twain in Missouri again here in the coming weeks which was awesome last time

Are you allowed to conquer the T.W.A.T with a truck or is it Dirt bike only?

In Copemish, MI there is a place called Twisted Trails ORV park that was pretty fun. It is kinda on the way between Silver lake dunes and traverse. On the west side of the state I mainly off road on 2 track trails that are just south of Frankfort, MI. There is a bunch of entrances around and some of the trails follow power line service roads which are super unkept. Watch out for surprise drop offs as well. Some hills have 50 foot drops on the other side.

Over here kinda if I remember correctly. https://goo.gl/maps/GybsEmEFzkRmVcaw5

Totally doable in a truck or minivan

Potosi to Lansing is the best part by far. The rest is mostly gravel roads.

Oh, maybe I am looking for something a little more tough than that lol. I am from Wisconsin but live in Michigan now. I am trying to find any excuse I can to go back to the homeland and have some beers with my family in Madison. Thanks for showing me this trail and Potosi to Lansing. Maybe doing the T.W.A.T in winter would add a little challenge.

@Thatbassguy and @ajmogen can probably point you to some better spots. Sounds like “the pipeline” is a bit more exciting

The section from Potosi to Lansing is definitely worth running at least once. Plus you can stop at Potosi brewery for lunch and a beer.

We're having a camping outing in Wisconsin and running parts of the pipeline in September. Check it out:

Feel free to PM me if you have any questions about the trip or the pipeline.

Silver Lake Dunes was awesome family fun. I will definitely do that again. I was a total noob out there for a minute. Met some really cool helpful people. Only saw one other 3rd gen and two highly modified 2nd gens. Great way to end a week of traveling through Michigan. Thanks for the invite for the September camp out. Helping host a block party fundraiser for our school that weekend. Cheers!

Just roll in to town. They had a bunch of premade brackets that would work with any truck. Took 15 minutes but the guy had me grab his tools off the bench and install it myself.

There is an off road park by me that requires you to have a whippy flag in the front/front passenger side. In my '96 I just drilled a hole in the bumper cuz who cares about resale at this point.
