About paints and politics, lol? Sure, and I get it, I was just venting a bit and the terrible timing right before PPF and coating, but some of the self righteous people in this forum are a bit much but I wont get into that. Its a depreciating asset, its a truck, I get that just want to help mitigate some of that depreciation while also enjoying how my truck looks for years to come.

How do you figure? Learned that the paint isnt really thin (shouldnt have assumed), learned about waterbased vs. old paints, learned some people are real self righteous *** here, learned that some people think doing anything to a truck is a waste, learned some people value other things more which is great, truck isnt my top priority but it is one of the things I enjoy, etc.

Same, certainly don't know everything and value everyone's points of view whether agree or disagree and we live in a country that allows us to do so.

You’re right about hooker. The real blame lies with the city and school district. Love canal was bad but we have other areas that are just as bad. The waterways here are very polluted, which unfortunately run off into the lake (Ontario). Lots of business popped up around the canal and creeks and dumped chemicals in the waterways or improper storage sites had leaks and they contaiminated the soil and worked it’s way into the ground water and/or creeks. Of course these are our local water sources. Just sad that we as humans basically just poisoned ourselves without any thought into the severe consequences, this would have on ourselves, future generations, and the environment/planet in general. Just sucks seeing all the cancer rates and seeing a few people I went to school with die of cancer at such a young age (early 30’s) or even worse seeing little kids with terminal cancers and Iillnesses.

Not yet, it goes in wed for PPF (clear bra), paint correction and ceramic coat.

Humans have been poisoning themselves since we started as humans. All you have to do is a bit of research. Sewage. Dead animals. Then we used to eat copper flakes and bronze. Then somebody thought mercury would cure illness. Then we got smart and invented drugs and xrays. Those were immediately abused and continue today. Then we developed powerful chemicals and crap and didn't think it would be a bad thing to just bury the old stuff. While everything you say is true, it is a tiny problem compared to the deaths caused by drugs, another man made thing. I don't see us ever getting smart, because even if we do, we will just get pissed off and get in a fight with somebody and another group of people die.
I'm thinking our only hope is VR. Maybe it will be so good we can do all these bad things virtually and not actually harm ourselves.

In high school I spent months prepping my 72 Karmann Ghia convertible. Painted it black. I put it all back together and pushed it into driveway a few days later. Presto. 3 cat claw lines down the front fender.
