comfort level while towing

I am thinking of purchasing a 2017 Coachmen RV Apex Nano 193BHS camping trailer. It is listed as dry weight of 3379, gross weight of 4600, and hitch weight of 406 and is about 22 feet long. I know my Tacoma has a towing weight of 6500 lbs. My question is "how will it handle this camper"? I have only pulled a light motorcycle trailer in the past and it was so light you couldn't tell it was behind you...just what can I expect? thanks.

 

You also got to think about how many passengers you are going to have plus if you load up anything in the truck for camping!

 

only two adults and normal supplies...nothing heavy like motorcycle or the like

I agree. As long as your truck has the factory tow package (it should if it's a TRD) you shouldn't have any problems towing that sort of weight.

So i wanted to make this list as a general advisement to those who want to tow with Tacomas. Common upgrades you should probably do if you’re towing anything over 2,500lbs:
Trailer brake controller
Trans cooler
Better springs and/or airbags
Regear if you’re going with bigger tires and towing
Tune with CAI and exhaust helps your engine breathe better since you should be using ECT and keeping it in 4th gear or below
An anti-sway hitch and bar
These trucks are not fullsize and aren’t built to tow a whole lot, but these upgrades are huge quality-of-life improvements if you’re towing anything over 2,500lbs. I’ve towed a small utility trailer and golf cart that all and all weighed in at 1,700 with 33s and it really wasn’t bad, but towing my camper is a whole different story. Minus regearing, these upgrades are really affordable for how much better they make towing.

Looking at the OP's history, he probably isn't going to reply, but what's wrong with reviving old threads? He's just going to get burn and told to search it up.......or you can do option 3......walk away. That's what I did with honda-tech, too many jackasses.
