Just bought an access cab, love it, minus the rear seats. Just want to be able to give people rides for up to a few hours. Anyone know of any comfortable seat covers for the back with headrests? I could be enticed to install some small back seats too if that’s at all possible. Seeking advice!

    Welcome to the forum!

I’d recommend Wet Okole seat covers because they have some padding. The fabric itself is wetsuit material so I hope your AC works lol because of its insulation properties, might feel a little warm

He has an access cab bro, not a double cab like you.

I believe he asking about adding some kind of somewhat comfortable seats in the back for passenger.

    Welcome to taco world

Pics of the back seat would help if you can do that?

If not what do you have back there currently?
The half ass fold downs? Or nothing?

They do and it helped a little bit, from when I test-sat on it for all of 5 seconds before my claustrophobia began setting in

What year access cab do you have?

The later ones 2010+ had a seat back with rear headrests and as the rear seats are practically useless it's usually possible to find someone toss them and get the "updated more comfortable" jump seats from a later year for free or cheap when folks trade up for a molle gear rack or something useful.

When I need to bring more than me and a friend we take their car, more fuel efficient by far no doubt. If they don't have their own car then why am I being a taxi?

Waterboarding, blaring non-stop heavy metal music, and throwing criminals in the rear seat of an AC Tacoma for a "few hrs" of driving are ways law enforcement can get criminals to talk.

It’s an 07, and I know I know, just like to give the homies a lift. I guess what I was searching for was if anyone got creative and ripped out the back entirely and put different actual car seats back there or if any company makes covers that make the seats a little more comfy and include head rests as my truck doesn’t.

It’s the bench seat with fold downs currently, no head rests, just the bench with padded backing.

The no headrests part still boggles me the most.

My thought says I’d rather chill in the truck bed for that long of a ride. But my back is like:

Best thing you can do is just carry 1 person back there. I’m just 5’ 2” and in my friends AC, even with his small wife in the front, I have to recline across both back seats.

    Same as I had
Unfortunately I cut plywood to fit flat and made my friends sit on milk create with a cushion when they wanted a ride.

But when my kid was born and tried putting her back there...I said Fuck no. Look how unsecured that is no matter how I set it up.
Double cab I had to go.

    Milk crate with cushion?:notsure:

Y'all remember the "jump seats" in the old Rangers? Sitting sideways, facing center? That's the only way to be semi-comfortable in an access cab truck.
