Comfortable seats installed in a Tacoma?

What are the most comfortable seats that have been installed into a 1st gen Tacoma? I has celiac gt buckets that I put in my 2002. I would like to see some ideas please?

 

Comfort is very subjective

Some love the feel of racing seats, others love the feel of cushy passenger seat.

What year Celica GT seats do you have in your 02? I've heard great things about those.

I just put in 2005 Subaru Forester XT seats and they are so friggen comfortable.

 

Thinking about putting in scion xb seats they look like they may be pretty comfortable

 

The gt bucket I used came out of a 2001 celiac gt convertible. Very comfortable.

 

1998-2002 4Runner seats are bolt ons...

Same here. But I can cut and weld so I was planning on using these when I have a little spare cash. Which could be a while considering all the other project vehicles I have. But my 60/40 sucks on my nearly 40 year old back and the 00 4Runner sport we used to have had great sport seats. I do kind of like the versatility of the 60/40 though so I might just get a custom padded seat cover for it. A friend of mine had one in his 97 back when these trucks were new and it was a lot comfier than my 98 was at the time. One thing some people don't think of when swapping seats is their height. Some seats sit way too high to be in a Toyota truck. Adding height if you have the right tools isn't a big deal but you can't take it away.

 

I'm not exactly sure what you mean by this but I have Forester XT seats in my truck sitting at stock height.

 

Can you please show me these seats from a 2000 sport 4runner? I fabricated outer corner risers for my celiac seats in my 2002. Too bad I couldn't save them from the insurance buy out.

 

This is the only pic I can find of the seats in our old 4Runner. What I meant by height is the height from the floor of the vehicle to where you sit. That can vary quite a bit from vehicle to vehicle.

 

just get new foam from your toyota dealer, maybe new covers too, and your stock seat will feel great. about $100 per side, for foam.

 

IMO... it's not a foam issue on the 1st gen junk...
but instead the springs that hold that.

But the foam is too thin to omit the springs.

there's just nothing good about the 1st gen truck seats, period.

well... one exception might be if you weigh 100 lbs.

i had corbeau A4 seats in my truck. loved the feel of them, but they were just too small for my large frame. had i gone with the wide version of them i wouldn't have sold them

Haterz can still hate but I love my 1st gen seats. I have a crooked back and the seat fits it nicely. I rode for 12 hours without a single ache that usually only took a few hours in my old sierra. (and that had a 9-way adjustable seat...)

 

Wet okole covers made the seats sooo much more comfortable. IMO at least
