Coming Home!

Hey everyone, I'm finally coming back home to Phoenix! I lived there for about 15 years through high school and later primarily in the North and Northwest (Deer Valley, Surprise, Peoria, etc.). I've been out of the state for about 7 years but now I'm coming back.

I'm looking forward to getting involved and doing runs, mod sessions, and such. I had a good group out in Chicago that I did a lot with when I had my FJ, but now I'm onto the Tacoma. I'm headed back in early June and I'm excited to no longer freeze for 6 months of winter like I have the past several years here in Eastern Idaho.

Anyway, I'm excited to come back and get outdoors and play. I've missed the desert!

 

Welcome back there are quite a few groups here that do run often we do Monday meets and all kinds of stuff let us know when you are here.

 

I'm pulling an IT nerd transient moment and just living out of my trailer. I'm looking at a few RV parks for the summer until the wife joins me. I'm looking at few places out East in the Mesa area and I'll be working by the airport off 143/202. My wife is from Eastern Idaho so she's excited about the living in a city and wants to live downtown by the light rail. Depending on where she finds a job after the house sells, there's a good chance we'll end up downtown somewhere since it looks like that area is growing. She wants an apartment to do the city life, I want a house with a 3 car garage to wrench. So, we'll probably find an apartment downtown most likely.

I'm excited about the heat, the desert, Fry's Electronics, the roads, and no freaking winter (unless I want it).

Just saw you're in Gilbert, I went to Gilbert HS for the second semester of my Freshman year and I have friends out in Gilbert. That area has grown a lot!

Last edit, I'm moving down June 9.

Welcome back! I'm from Boise and moved here over 5 years ago, so I know your pain all too well. I'd be down for a meetup/run as well.

She's from Idaho Falls where I've been for the past 5ish years. She's quite excited to get down to Phoenix.

Hey you guys! I'M BACK! Arrived today, everything is setup and I'm so glad to be back! Today was hot, but it felt SO GOOD. I know, it'll get old fast, but still, this is so much better than the winters for the past 5 years. I'm hoping to meet a couple of you guys and start getting involved.
