I have a 2020 TRD Off-Road 4wd with 24k miles on it that is occasionally making a clunking noise when making sharp low speed turns(in 2wd or course)

I'm currently running stock suspension, ride height and tire size but am going to be replacing the front struts (6112.set to factory height) in the next few weeks and would like to inspect the front end for other possible sources of the noise while I have it exposed.

A few things I can think of are
    - wheel bearings
    - linkage
    - body mount bushings
    - sway bar
    - steering rack

Anything else i would want to check or any of the above that I would want to do more then a simple visual inspection of?

I suspect it's the front passenger strut or it's coil but want to do a thorough inspection while it's apart.

    Torn boots on your cv's.
Clunking leads to clicking when cv joints progressively get worse.

Could be a bad LCA bushing or a bad front shock lower bushing...worn front shock lower bolt...loose splash guard or skid plate

    Lots of things

Sway bar links is another possibility.

Same issue on my 2021 OR Long Bed. UCA are new, didn't see anything obvious under vehicle. Happens when backing out of driveway and then moving forward for me along with slow tight turns.

Check your skid plates. Mine was making some kind of noise whenever I would do low speed turns. Didn't matter if it was my driveway or not, it did it. Then last week I did my fluids on the axles, trans, and t-case. Which I needed to pull my skids off to do. Buttoned everything up when I was done and thought nothing of it. Now, ever since, I haven't heard that sound. It's just gone. All I did was change those fluids and then put my skids back on. Guess I tightened them up on reinstall. Small victory, ha. I'll take it. Good luck hunting your noise down OP.

Check your steering stops..mine used to bind up when doing that same thing.. I ground them smooth and the noise stopped. Don’t grind them off just smooth them out a bit

Just fixed mine. I torqued the lower control bolt down to 135 ft lbs. 3/4 weren't even close
