126 mi each way. (Lafayette, IN to Chicago, IL) twice a week. Usually I ride the Amtrak but I end up driving once a month or so.

About 80 miles round trip for me. I also drop my wife off at work and then pick her up at the end of the day. The gas was so expensive that I was able to afford replacing the wife's old car with a new economy car. It's about break even for us.

I had a friend who would drive about 360 miles per day. He didn't work but his wife did. They wanted to live in San Diego and his wife got a job in Anaheim (she made over $175K). So he would drive her up, drop her off, return and then do the same thing to pick her up.

My commute is about 12.5 miles each way. Traffic is generally light going to-and-from work, which is great. I usually take surface streets on the way home to enjoy the breeze.
