Our vans are terrible on gas like 10-11 mpg, so it’s pretty much a must. Conversion pays off in a few years.

Not sure what you are asking. Thought I was pretty clear.

I got a giggle out of you saying your work truck was converted to propane and I thought it was intended. I associate propane conversions to old school off road buggies from the carburetor days. I was envisioning you doing off-road recoveries for work.

I’ve always been curious about propane converted vehicles/motors. Seems crazy given how cold propane can get/ all the condensation.

Hah! No no. It’s strictly for cheaper operation. We run these vans all day long.

It sucks in really cold or hot weather. Loses quite a bit of power.

At work, We have a fleet of 2018-2021 Tacoma SR5 4x4s. Before those, we had 2nd gen Tacos. All with upgraded tires (Duratracs) but otherwise stock. Such great field vehicles for hauling scientific gear to remote rugged locations. I wouldn’t trade our Tacos for anything. I’ve taken our stock SR5s on some gnarly ass roads.

Personal truck - 2019 6MT TRDOR DCSB. I love having Tacos for work and play

I’m lucky enough to drive my Tundra for work. I cover a six state region and she sees a lot of highway time.

These ones must not burn any oil because they always go over mileage and no one ever checks them. Typical ford, good 5 years then all the issues arise.

Burning a lot of gas in that Tundra with all that driving.

Hope you get paid well. Mileage reimbursement isn’t even worth it with the mpg’s you’re getting.

If I was footing the gas bill I’d definitely be back in a Tacoma or something with better MPGs, but luckily they give me a gas card :spending:
