Up here we get fuel blended with additives starting in mid to late October through mid May. It helps prevent fuel line freeze up. It also doesn't burn as efficiently, reducing mpgs.

    I was getting 17.5 mixed city/highway - before the supercharger:anonymous:

Gas is cheap and life is short - I don't even monitor fuel economy any more. I gave my mom my hybrid Sonata when my commute went from 60 miles to 5.

My 2007 4X4 DC gets around 17 mpg with my normal everyday driving. Mostly rural 2 lane and small town. Rarely any true stop and go city driving. On the open road somewhere between 19-20 mpg is the norm if I keep the speedometer at or under 70 mph.

If I drive faster than 70, or if driving into a strong headwind I've seen as little as 16 mpg hwy. In mountains where my speed rarely got over 60-65 and I could coast down long downgrades I've gotten as much as 22 mpg.

You'll have to do the metric conversions. FWIW, I wish we had converted to metrics. Back in the 70's when I was in HS they told us it was coming and we spent a lot of time learning about the metric system. I have a better than average understanding, but if you don't use something every day you don't remember well.

The metric system is way more logical.

I hear ya, So based on the picture i sent of my gas level and trip counter, 156km, roughly 100 miles to that almost half tank, is that where youre at for the distance travelled, or am i burning it way faster.

I have logged every fuel up since I purchased my truck and when I first picked it up I would regularly get around 16-17mpg, but once I sort of figured out the best spots to shift I am currently sitting at 20.8mpg (8.8kpl) and I had a high of 21.1 (8.9kpl) at one point during the summer. A side note: I put in a K&N air filter awhile back and it has made absolutely no difference to fuel mileage for those expecting some sort of difference... I'm getting the exact same numbers as before. not that I expected anything different.

It does not display average fuel, Only if you get that upgraded head unit can you see those stats (as far as I know). Mine has the basic touch screen. I've calculated mine by using miles on the odo and how much gas it takes to fill up. Mine is usually around 175ish miles at the half way mark between E and F.

Converting OPs units to what I can read it seems like something must be wrong to be getting that horrible of fuel economy.

K&N filters are more trouble than they are worth. AFE Pro Dry FTW.

Depends , but the the whole 1/2 tank thing is even fuzzier than the "I get so many km's per tank" units , at least if you fill it , and go by litres put back in you're getting something you csn actually compare ( ie km travelled for x litres consumed )

@OZ-T Yeah for sure based on gas tank shape and what not vehicles vary for how accurate they are. But when you see it drop almost a half tank and havent even gone very far, i start to wonder if its eating fuel like crazy or if the bottom of the tank lasts longer then the top. For that same tank i filled from a distance recorded at 270Km for 52 liters. I can get 270Km on my motorcycle with 5 bucks lol.

Seems like poor fuel economy unless you're doing lots of 4HI driving for snow
