Do any have one? I'm aging. I have an iPhone which I can use because it has a compass. However, I get disorientated driving at night with no sky or sun to tell me what direction I'm heading. Any suggestions or pics of the ones you have mounted? I'd prefer other than an big globe type compass mounted on top my dash somewhere. Maybe a smaller digital one or something?

One needs to be real careful you can end up spending money to have it always point to the magnetic field of the Alternator .

Maybe in the last few years (20) they started to isolate /shield the alternators

    Time flies

Or a gyro compass, then wouldn’t need to be concerned about the magnetic field

I have this and works fine in our 1st gen tacos. Have it installed low on my windshield. Cheap, $14.00 or so.

I installed a GM review mirror with compas and temp. Pretty straightforward. I like it. You can get them cheap at any junkyard.

The good ones have everything contained into the mirror as well.

The GM mirror only needs power ground and if you want temp, two wires to the sensor.

Some of the Nissan ones have the sensors built into the mirror so it only needs power and ground.

Not sure, it's been a while since I've been to the junk yard but you can see the sensor cutouts on the back of the mirrors.

Mirror compass sounds good. Just not a big round ball on my dash. Guys, one would save me driving for miles in the wrong direction only to have to drive miles back in the right direction, at night.
