I have a 2005 Taco and the Compass/Temp Screen comes on intermintently. Sometimes it comes on when I push the overhead button and other times it does not. Could this be due to a loose connection?

If I have to replace the unit, can someone provide tips/pictures on how to take it apart and complete the repair?

    Thank you!!!

    Michael

ay if your truck is still under your warranty take it to the dealer.... Mine went out and they replaced it (for free) and apparently its common with the 2006 and 2007 models ...

I was able to work on it this weekend. All Fixed!

The major problem was one of the 510 fuses was literally "hanging by a thread" so I just put it back in place and soldered it. I also soldered the other 510 just to feel safe.

It feels great to fix it myself and of course to save money.

Thank you to all who posted advice.
