The compass and thermometer on my 07 suddenly quit working. Could it be a fuse or is the unit shot?

There is a write up on this. It is usually a 510 connection inside toe unit. A little solder and free time and it is fixed. I did mine bout a month ago and it is still working.

I found this thread and thought this has to be my problem, opened up mine expecting to see one of resistors loose, upon inspection both the 510's looked perfectly fine. Like someone else stated "what do I have to lose" so I soldered both resistors on both sides, went out plugged it in and voilá it worked!! Thanks for the help!
