Compatibility of 4Runner TRD Pro Wheels PTR-20-35510-BK on 2024 Tacoma?

Nice wheels - I decided not to use them given the hub difference, offset difference, and lug difference. The OR wheels are good for me. The road rash on my rear fender is bad enough with stock offset - even with the rally rockblox mud flaps

 

If I knew at the start what I know now, I would have just sold these wheels and tires and gotten new tires for my OR wheels, but sunk cost fallacy has me in its grip.

That said, they do look pretty awesome on my 4th gen, and I’ve gotten some great experiences and memories from when they were on my 2nd gen (RIP).

 

I was close. Was looking at the new lugs when I decided to stop.

 

Oof, I just bought some gloss black replicas of these wheels. It’s been a mess with dealing with the lug nuts. It doesn’t sound worth it to me, I may just post them on Facebook for sale.

 

I also had some safety concerns with special lug nuts and wheel attachment stability.

 

Wouldn't those spacers put the wheels another 1/2" out?

 

FYI. If you want to run 106 diameter hub wheels (TRD or aftermarket) you don't need "spacers" you need adapters.

 

Center hub spacers are not necessary for structural purposes...they simply make it "easier" to center the wheel on the hub. The lug nuts actually do the work of centering the wheel and clamping it to the hub. So, as long as your wheel center bore is larger than your hub (i.e. will fit around the hub protrusion) then you're good. Just take it a little slower when tightening the lugs to allow them to tug the wheel around to center it.
