    hey there

I am wondering if there is some sort of master online resource to confirm plug compatibility?

I am out of the US at the moment and have very limited options for plugs but when I check online the options I have here some sites say ok others say no.

specifically I have a 2002 2wd tacoma (non prerunner) with a 2.7l motor. I found some plugs today (autolite AP3924) and I found a site or two (rock auto/orielly) that say they will work but Amazon says no go?

    cheers!!

I'm in mexico and unfortunately I'm out of time. my wife has to get back to the US for work in a few days and she was going to drive this taco back up but we've been having no luck getting it running right.

What do you mean not running right? What's it doing?

I got a whole thread going on it already. had a misifre code. took it to a bad mechanic who put in wrong plugs. now I just need to get a set of correct plugs and replace one coil and we'll see if it evens out and the CEL stays off.

getting parts where I am is not going well though. the recommended plugs (NGK BKR5EYA-11) nor anything denso to be had here.

so I found a set of autolite AP3924 but I can't seem to confirm that they are going to be correct for this motor.

AP 3924 looks to be the correct plug for either engine.

no idea? it's over at the mechanics now so I can't check. I assume it should say somewhere on the motor itself?

just checked the autolite site (duh) and they claim compatlible but they don't make mention of an M-3RZFE variation

I used Autolite Platinum single electrode on my 3.4 v6 Taco for years. Ran great, even though I totally missed the factory sticker on the front of the engine that stated to only use dual electrode plugs.

put in the autolite plugs and replaced the questionable coil with some no name cheapo one (all I could get here) and just ran it for about 90 miles on the highway. seems ok. we reset the cel with the scantool and the light hasn't come back after the 90 miles. got about a 1000 mile drive to do with it, then I can swap the coil for a good one and replace the plugs with the recommended NGK's.

    cheers!
