I added a commercial cap to my truck, I also have about 150-200 lbs of equipment often in the bed. Unfortunately this is causing extra sag on the rear leaf pack. Since I'm a novice when it comes to suspension I'm just trying to get a feeler for what options are out there. I don't want to replace anything, just add to it... any info would be appreciated.

If there's already 24897325735498 threads about this send me a link please, I haven't been successful with the forum search function here.IMG_2272.jpg

Dakars are a full leaf pack. IMHO AAL are just bandaids to the shitty leaf pack tacomas have

Helwig makes helper springs that you can bolt on to the stock leafs, i've heard really good things aboot them.
BTW AAL = Add A Leaf

we added contractor caps/ ladder racks to our '17 Tacomas and i put on Sumo Springs to help with the load. works well for now. obviously i want to upgrade the suspension but the budget won't allow for now.

What I did on my 2006, after Toyota took too long replacing the rear leafs..... I went to my local spring shop and they fabricated an extra spring and added to the rear to level things out.... I was 200% satisfied with this option and result... cost me under $300.00

Can you get Dakars that don't add any lift? looks like everything online adds 2.75" lift

I like the idea of an airlift, but then I'd add a compressor, controls, a little more involved then I want to get

@HeadStrong Off-Road will set you up with a very competitive price and bushings for dakar leafs.

I would take some leafs out to lower the height but if you ever carry anything heavy you will be glad you have a little rake

I'm generally not carrying anything really heavy, I just have 200Lbs of dead weight at all times due to the leer cap

That's only if you want to change the height on the fly. You could just add air at a gas station or home when a change is needed.

its not on level ground so each side is a little different. drivers is 21" on the spot, passenger is 20-13/16". measured from the center of hub to the bottom of fender
