My 06 has the typical tacoma issues. The engine ticks, the blower motor chirps, the rear springs can't handle the max load. Other than that my truck has been perfect since i bought it new in 06. All i've done to it is change the oil and filter, grease the driveshaft and clean the air filter. I still have the original windshield wipers for cryin out loud! My truck is awesome!

The plastic inside is unbelievably cheap. Cardboard will scratch it, believe it or not. I haul my Dalmatians around in my vehicle, which worked great with the '93, but they had to go in a kennel in the Cruiser, unless I wanted it to look like shi* inside, which I didn't. Besides that, it's a poor substitute for a truck. The resolution was to ditch the cruiser for a new Tacoma, and for my FJ fix, go old school, with a '77:

Hellya!! That FJ was the REAL "tundra" God I love those trucks. Do they still make glass for them?
Oh ok-I know they're not hard on tires but I am on my third set and I aint no Mario Andretti. I did dump the original BF Goodrich T/As early because I hated them and they really sucked in the rain.

We're in the same ballpark:) did my belt at 75,000. Changed out my rear leafs and all the shocks too for better handling.

Thanks:) right on for that '05-a fine rep for the 2nd gen!

    Good start:)
    Another 2nd gen winner!

Damn... how did you get that many miles out of those tires? I got 15 000KM on my Falkens but then again it's an X and I have had a lot of fun haha. No real issues with me and 30 000km but knock on wood.

My dad's 2001 Jeep Grand Cherokee has 268 000 miles on it and still runs strong although there has been a couple of repairs.

02' Tacoma DblCab. Okay I just bought it but, at 98,000 the carfax reported routine maintenance. A windshield strike and cold weather has resulted in a windshield.
