I can't believe this is still available, this is the perfect way to recover from buying the wrong TRD package.
Could pretty easily recover nearly all cost from the one that gets replaced.

The ARB locker is actually better than stock TRD locker, no engagement and disengagement fuss, it just works.

What are you referring to when you say it was tested before being rebuilt?

The truck has been getting "rebuilt" since the middle of February. In the thought that we might not be reusing the OEM rearend we tested the locker to ensure that everything functioned as it should and made sure that the gears were still in good condition before everything got torn down and pulled into the shop.

If this had 4.88s I'd be all over it.

I can source you 4.88 Yukon Gears and a master rebuild kit but that kind of defeats the purpose here. This is ideal for someone that doesn't want to deal with the downtime/expense of having to have a locker installed at a shop and would like the convenience of having a spare complete third member with matching gears for whatever reason. This can be installed in a garage with simple hand tools.

I paid almost $1600 just for the compressor, locker and install on my sr5 (meaning I now have the same setup) and I love it. I would seriously buy the whole thing for a spare if I thought I would ever need it. I know this is some change to spend but if you even thinking about a locker on a sport or sr5 this is a smoking deal. Plus I hung out with these guys in Moab. Standup guys who do what they can to make sure you get what you needed.

I was under the impression Nitro made aftermarket 3.73s, FWIW. May not apply to your situation at all but just for the record...

So far, everything I have read and experienced is that Toyota oem parts (minus the second gen wheel bearings) have superior strength when compared to aftermarket parts. Gears may be a different story but I don't know why they would be.

Gears are a different story. I don't care what the damn land cruiser or mini truck guys say.

Also, there are no better aftermarket wheel bearings, OEM koyo are as it good as it gets.
