Dumb question coming ! Aren't these kits usually more expensive or is the kit plus installation what makes it hella expensive? How long does this usually take to install?

I know this is a vague question but how difficult is the installation of one of these kits? Fairly simple and straight forward or does it require a more in-depth knowledge of the vehicle's wiring system?

The remote is a little bigger than the head of the toyota key and about as thick.I dont have my oem key fobs anymore but I will try to get a pic posted a little later today of the remote next to the key.

As for installation, its not terribly hard to do. You will need a good multi meter to test the wires, and there is a lot of info on the web about doing it. Best advice is take your time and check and doublecheck your wires before making connections. Expect to spend a few hours at least if you've never done it before.

And yes, labor is generally what makes these things so expensive to have installed. (Btw, the guy charging 50 bucks to install it is NOT the guy you want working on your truck) :)

I can provide wiring colors and locations for your model year truck, however I am not responsible for their accuracy as sometime car manufacturers change their colors and locations from time to time. YOU will need to test the wiring to make sure you have the correct wire before making connections.

It will work with any vehicle. I can provide a kit for any vehicle even newer cars requiring can bus interfaces (newer toyota, lexus, audi, Chrysler, gm, etc). I put it up here since I'm on the forum all the time. What car were you interested in installing one in?

It will work with that car, as with the newer toyota, you will need to use a key for this immobilizer bypass to work with your car.

    Welcome to Beater-ville!
just curious what the aux. button can be programmed to do. Would it essentially be just a wireless on/off button?

    Thanks

The aux button can be used to control just about anything that can be triggered with a relay. A set of lights, a window control module, etc.

About the bypass, Almost anything newer than 2000 will have an immobilizer system ( passive anti theft or chipped key) that will need to be bypassed ( or tricked) into thinking the key is in the ignition in order for the vehicle to be able to be started by remote starter. I am selling the remote starter as well as the bypass for the immobilizer that's built into most new cars.
