At what point do the tapered drop blocks become useful vs the standard drop block? Street taco offers both and I'm trying to decide which one I will need.

4.5/5.5 drop, DJM arms, QA1 coilovers, 6lug leafs, QA1 18-way, rear swaybar, Batwing Big brakes, high flow cat, indy/hurst shifter, memphis amps, focal 3-ways, Eclipse AV unit, SunDown 10" custom box, TRD bucket swap.
I'd say after 2-3" of drop, prepare to wait forever.

Phil, what suspension setup do you have that gave you 4.75/5.5??

Adjustable coilovers, djm arms, 6lug leafs, 4" beefed blocks, defined shackle on passenger, qa1's in the rear. Was at 4.5/5.5 before coilovers.

Is an alignment needed with the spindle spacers?

I figured the spacer acted like a drop spindle, which doesn't change geometry. (Thinking about it though drop spindles don't change the spindle height, derp)

Thanks though, that'll help me schedule my suspension and drop stuff. Nothing major 1 to 1.5.

They do act like a drop spindle however you are raising the entire spindle which will move the upper control arm creating a change in geometry if it were a real drop spindle the center of the hub will only change

Hm I wonder if I install mine at home and drive 28 miles to Firestone if I'll put a lot of bad wear on my tires

I am looking at the qa1 ts-703 shock and I noticed it is a twin tube. From what little I know about it, a twin tube needs to be mounted vertically or there is a possibility of the two liquids combining and causing all sorts of issues. When the truck is lowered will the shock be straight up and down or would a monotube shock be a better idea?

Im new to the forum and have read through all of the posts pretty much, but im not trying to do a hard slam or just barely drop by a half an inch. Im looking to run the factory wheels and tires and lower it to them. So about a 3.5 front and 4.5 back drop. My question, what would be the best parts to configure together to get the best mechanics and performace out of it, but yet not be an extreme build either?
