18x10.5 wheels, the tires were 275/40 I think? I'm on 295/40 now with those same wheels. Had to roll the fenders though. No idea what the backspacing/offset on the wheels are exactly, I got them with the truck.

    Hmmm…
I think there’s a used one for sale here somewhere unless it’s been sold. Let me see if I can find it. Otherwise DJM has a Black Friday sale that should be starting soon.

*Edit* Contact @o0opackersfano0o as he had a used kit listed for sale listed in the Lowered Taco? LETS SEE ‘EM! tread..

For the spindle (part 5-part 18) bolts, what are the specs of the bolt itself(thread pitch, length, grade, etc.)?

I dropped mine about 3.25”. About 1.25 with six lug leafs and a 2” block on the right side and a 1.75” block on the left side. (Taco lean) But I have read of others having issues with the drive line rubbing on the parking brake cables. My drive line lightly rubbed against the left side cable all the way from AZ to TX when I had the truck loaded with the LS and all the parts for the swap I’m getting done.

Question on the 4x4 springs. Is it just swapping them straight over or did you need to remove a leaf?

You swap them straight over. Make sure you get the updated 4 leaf pack. The extra leaf acts as a spacer to give you more drop.

Question for anyone who has done the Strictly Street coil overs. Any tips or tricks I should know about? They seem pretty straight forward but figured I would ask before I start putting them on.

Did you buy yet? If not I think I can help you save some $$$… I made DIY coil-overs just like SS ones and they were way over strong. The below adds a small amount of spring rate because the very bottom of the spring is “coil bound” (it doesn’t move = shortening the spring & increasing the spring rate). See photos below.
Cheapest way to DIY if you can’t weld your own top hats/plates.

SS copied this below. I had these installed many months before SS decided to make their’s from CNC alloy. I actually copied another member here. This front threaded shock could run either a 10” or 12”x2.5” spring. This was a 10” Hyper-coil 525# spring on our SR-5 with a supercharger and steel cross box tool box on a Access Cab.

Already bought and received them. After looking it over I didn't see anything that'll cause me problems. Thanks for the heads up though.

Couple of questions if you don’t mind? I contacted SS a couple of times and each time the price changed.
    1. What did they set you back?
    2. What truck are you mounting them on?
    3. And lastly what spring rates are they selling?

Current pricing was $1200 USD, went up from $1000 a couple months ago. This price is only for the Viking double adjustibles, more for the triple adjustibles.

They are going on an 05 base model regular cab. So 2.7l engine two doors.

They have three spring rates listed, 550, 650 and 750 with custom rates available. I'm running the 550s since I've got less weight and will be doing mostly street driving.

    Hmmm…
Just my worthless .02 cents! That’s going to be a bit stiff for my taste. I had 525# springs in an Access Cab with extra weight and it was on the stiff side. But to each their own…
Just an FYI, Over stiff springs will make the truck understeer more. I also have two sets of New Viking springs still in the box’s. A set of 12x2.5” 500# springs and a set of 450# springs if you’re interested? I never got time to try them in the truck. If you’re going to do the coil-overs look into 6 lug leafs w/ a rear X-runner rear sway-bar and weld in a notch! Makes a big difference, again just my .02 cents. Oh, any more drop than 1.75” from stock you’re going to have alignment issues unless you install new aftermarket UCA’s. Been there done that…

Slightly stiff won't bother me much as I'm use to my other car which has an extremely stiff suspension. If it turns out to be too stiff I may hit you up the softer springs.

I won't be using the coil overs for much, if any, drop. I'll be running the DJM 3/4 drop kit and welding the rear notch in after setting the coil overs up. Eventually I'll be doing a parallel 4-link in the rear with cantilevered coil overs along the frame rail, but that'll take more time in the shop than I have right now.

With the softer OE springs, the stiffer rear springs w/ the sway-bar and the Truetrac it’s pretty close to neutral handling = I can almost drift / slid all four tires through higher speeds corners. It still might be because of the 245’s on a 8.5” wheel on the rear w/ 235’s on a 8” wheel on the front. But now the 07 is getting LS swapped. and we pickup an 05 the same as the 07 even the same color. The 05 will be getting the same rubber, wheels and suspension. Just the engine, seats and years will be different. I purchased all the parts it’s just with the unGodly temperatures we had lately I can’t work in the garage anymore. Will have to wait until September to upgrade the 05. The 05 is 90% striped for a repaint then I can start with replacing everything under the hood and undercarriage including the suspension and StopTech’s.
