I'm liking this Meguiar's Ultimate liquid wax. Applied a coat on my truck this morning and even put it on the rubber window seals and black plastic. No white stains at all. I wax my truck twice a year so the Meg's ULW is going to work just fine for me. After I wash my truck I use Duragloss Aquawax when I'm drying anyway. No easier way to apply a paint sealer than that.

I've been impressed with the results so far. 2 months now its been on there and I do a lot of driving so it's had to put up with some weather dirt and grime.

Hope you are still active on the forum. I read through your post but it's 5am and I have no sleep haha. Just looking for your opinions since your first post is getting old.

Quick background, I have a 17' OR Quicksand. I never really got into waxing, polishing, using clay bars, etc. When I do wash my truck, I use a pressure washer at a far enough distance to spray off all dirt and whatever grime is on there, after that I use a different nozzle that allows me to use my Rain-X soap. I do this in one section at a time and use a microfiber mitt to work in the soap, once I do this to all sections I do a final spray with the washer then dry using a shammy towel.

Now...before I pass out, what do you recommend now as a wax, clay bar, polish, and types of applicators for these? Handheld powered buffer or good ol elbow grease?

I live on a ranch, so the truck sit's outside and gets a good dose of dust haha

Mine gets dusty sitting out in the parking lot. Meguiar's Ultimate liquid wax s hard to beat. You can get it on plastic and don't have to worry about it staining it white. I use it on glass and the rubber seals around the windows without worry. I apply and rub it off by hand. Don't need a buffer for this wax which is really a sealant.

What kind of cloths should I buy to apply and remove?
And aside from a air dryer, do people still recommend shammy cloths?

^^ I use these to dry with. ^^

    https://www.walmart.com/ip/Meguiar-s-Ultimate-Liquid-Wax/16550272

^^ The foam applicator pad and a microfiber towel come with the wax. I buy mine at Walmart. ^^

    https://www.theragcompany.com/eagle-edgeless-16-x-16-microfiber-towel/

^^ I use the Eagle Edgeless microfiber towels to wipe the wax off with. They have sales often and I figure these should be on sale for Fathers day, (Maybe) I bought 6 of them.

I would not use shammy cloths myself...

I don't know of anyone that recommends a shammy. Most, including myself, use quality microfiber

Polishing would definitely need to be done by machine. Sealant is generally easier to apply by machine as well, wax I've found since you work one panel at a time, it's easiest just to apply by hand.

I want to give a shout out to Chemical Guys tire and trim gel. A great platic trim product. Put it on, wipe off excess, and get a dry to the touch, pure black shine for months. Put mine on in April and it still looks hot.
