    I recently did a compression test on my 3.4l 5vz-fe at 306892 miles.

    The engine runs pretty good and has never given up on me but recently I'm thinking I could have a bad head gasket and its leaking exhaust into the coolant.

    I had a weird experience yesterday helping a friend move, Truck drives good first 20 mins of the day and then the engine starts to feel a lot more unresponsive to the throttle and it got bad yesterday after driving on the highway for over an hour and I think coolant was dumping out the reservoir while driving and oddly when I parked at home it started to dump coolant out of the reservoir and then sucked it back up after cooling. Never overheated before and the temp gauge was in the middle as always.

    I did a coolant flush about two months ago.

    I plan on replacing the radiator and thermostat in a couple weeks to knock those out of the way.

    ```Back```
    5: 150 psi 6: 150 psi
    3: 150 psi 4: 150 psi
    1: 150 psi 2: 90 psi
    ```Front```
    Also I forgot to open the throttle during the compression test.

    I plan on testing it again with oil in the cylinder and getting a leak down tester.

    Any advice on further testing to confirm its the head and not the piston rings or valves.
    I do plan on inspecting my valve clearances as well because that is something that has never been done.

    I will say I'm in denial and looking for any option not to pull the head but in the end this will be a great learning experience for me.

    I would love to hear any suggestions and links to new heads if mine are cracked :fingerscrossed:

    I also did a coolant exhaust test... it Didn't change the color drastically from blue to green but... it changed the color.

    Since you just said that you flushed the coolant, the leak is probably minor but in due time will be very apparent with the combustion leak test.
