Hey all weird one for you all. I recently moved to Nevada, from California, and have since replaced my catalytic converter from a CA CAT to a non-CA CAT (AFE Direct Fit Catalytic Converter Replacement - Part Number: 47-46002). It should be noted that I also had a check engine light where it was found to be the CAT prior to moving to Vegas. I waited until we moved out here to install the AFE CAT; which passed SMOG here. But now, the check engine light has come back on throwing the same code. I read somewhere that Tacos built in CA have different software than others and will require a reprogram to allow for a non-CA CAT to be installed without throwing the code. Also, if I do need to reprogram how do I go about doing that? Any thoughts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks all!
