Conan vs Leno

im a bit more partial to conan because well, he's funny

leno is sort of a tool

but if I were in a dark alley with a sock full of quarters and jimmy fallon..............

I rarely watch late night. That being said, I thought Conan had horrible skits, though his jokes are OK. Leno I find his monologue the best, but again, skits are kind of lame. And Letterman is just plain boring. Though I like when any of them do "Top 10..." type stuff.

But, NBC changed to Conan. It's his gig. Sorry Leno. Maybe Johnny Carson should wade in and get his show back. Oh wait, he's dead.

 

so tomorrow night its coco last NIGHT on NBC...

To clarify, Leno didn't take a risk going to primetime, he had the Tonight Show taken from him because Conan was getting better ratings later at night.

Then the brilliant minds at NBC decided to give it back to him and take it away from Conan. My feeling is the NBC brass tend to get off removing people from their shows...

I prefer Letterman anyway.

Positive. It was announced a few years ago that Leno was going to be removed and Conan replacing him on the Tonight Show. Leno had no choice in the matter. Leno was LUCKY to get the prime time gig, as it eventually got him back the Tonight Show.

So don't blame Leno. It was all NBC messing things up.

And NBC wanted to keep things how they were, it was the local news affiliates getting upset because their news rating were down b/c they followed Jay, and Jay had really low ratings. (about 1/3 of the top drama in the same timeslot)

 

I thought that Jay's contract was over and the contract that Conan signed 3-5 years ago before the announcement, would take affect for him to host the tonight show. Then NBC because of bad ratings thought that by adding a comedy show before the tonight show, it would improve ratings during that hour. And offered Jay a show before Conan came on.

I never blamed Leno? I blame Jeff Zucker!
Anyways I could be wrong, but that is the way I heard it happen on the news. Who really knows, unless they worked at NBC and was part of the mess? Who really knows what leno felt? Did he want to leave the Tonight show? Did he want to retire, but was offered this show? All are good questions. But you could be right.

 

For 45 million I'd walk too. But I still voted for conehead

 

Conan is one of the few Comedians that can make me laugh! He is the future of comedy!! Can't wait till NBC finds this out the hard way!

no shit, nbc has to be kicking themselves in teh ass for this. how stupid can you get. if i owned any nbc stock id dump it as fast as possible
