To be fair and honest, the comparable 4th gen build only adds some features when compared to my 3rd. It does not appear to subtract, other than deleting 2 cylinders and 3 gallons of fuel capacity.

However, the BASE 4th Gen equivalent MSRP (same configuration, 4wd, auto trans) is still almost $1k higher than my 3rd gen with the Premium Package. That's before any options at all on the 4th gen.

The 4th gen adds some new tech and features, absolutely! But in my eyes, not worth the $53k+ price tag to upgrade.

    For now at least...hard pass.

For the price of my used Prerunner, I could buy three of them, or one new one with a few years of payments.
Five foot beds are worthless. 6' bed, 4 door configuration kind of takes it out of the medium size truck category.
Glad I'm not in the market for a new Tacoma. Hope they take my body to the junkyard in the one I've got.

I’m not even going to bother. I can’t afford a 4th gen and increased insurance costs. Everything’s too damn expensive
