I’d like to know more about how much of the price is actual cost. In other words, what is the profit margin in these high MSRP prices?

It’ll be obvious in the quarterly earnings.

I don't think you get Softex with the Upgrade package. Description says "8 way power adjustable front seats". The Premium package specifically mentions Softex, "includes Softex trimmed* seats". Maybe thats a typo but if they offered Softex in the Upgrade, you would think they would specficially mention it.

So I’m confused too by the Upgrade package. Here’s an incoming unit, with the Upgrade package. To my knowledge in order to get ventilated seats you need either leather, vinyl, plastic, etc right?

    Description of package

TRD Sport Upgrade Package (4WD, 5ft Bed) - includes heated and ventilated 8-way power-adjustable front seats, leather- trimmed heated steering wheel, JBL® Premium Audio with JBL® FLEX portable speaker, pre-wired auxiliary switches, AC power inverter, Integrated Trailer Brake Controller (ITBC), and power horizontal rear window $4,640

Most farmers will tell you that polyurethane cows require a special diet, so not surprised if SofTex is tied to the $8610 package.

Note that adding a disconnecting sway bar with your OR premium pkg will apparently cost $10,000 combined

My guess is that the new cloth seats are heavy textile and are perforated. Purely a guess. Seems like it wasn’t covered in any of those hack YouTube videos. I’m never getting Toyota’s fake leather again.

That’s correct. You only get a “leather wheel” with that

Okay but where did you see that confirmed? Nothing states seat material anywhere.

The regular “upgrade” package doesn’t give heated or ventilated seats and are the standard cloth. The premium package you have to get for those, and when you click on that option it specifically shows Softex seats.

I remember when vinyl seats were the cheapest and it was an upgrade to get the cloth seats. Now the cloth seats are the cheapest and the fake leather, which is not much different than vinyl, is the upgrade.

In both cases I put seat covers on to protect them so it really doesn't matter what they are made out of lol.

Perfect. Just in time for me to spend more money. So who’s trading up form their Gen 3’s for the four popper?

Feels like it has to be a glitch with it all being super new still maybe?

If it has ventilated seats then it is softex. Cloth seats are not ventilated.

I have no idea, I feel something is glitchy for sure. The only reason I think it comes with Softex is the price. $4,640 for JBL audio, power driver seat, brake controller, and power rear window is steep! Compare to my current truck where $3,375 got pleather seats, climate control, moonroof, navigation, auto lights. I figure a $1,300 increase in price seems on spot for what you’re getting.

It appears that if you want SofTex on any trim where it’s offered, your truck will cost $52k or greater.

When you select SofTex seats over cloth on the TRD Sport/OR, it automatically adds the premium package. Limited starts at $52k.

Eh….$45k for a TRD Off Road with 3 pedals, the big screen and heated seats isn’t too bad.

    Forget all those $2-$10k packages.

We haven't even seen prices on the truly expensive trucks yet.

Can anyone confirm or deny that the...

    1)Rear Seats have vents?
2)Front seats are heated & cooled? (it was mentioned in one of the walk arounds but maybe just on the ID seats)

Vents are under the seats and you need the premium package for ventilated seats.
