I have a 2012 DC Tacoma with the Sport Upgrade package. I can no longer stand the 18" chrome clad wheels that came with it (could not find normal Sport package with 17" wheels when purchased). I contacted Toyota to find out what the 18" wheel specs are but all they could tell me is that it was a 7.5" wide wheel just like the 17" Sport wheels. I have reseached lots of options within my price range and recently noticed the MB TKO 17" x 8.5, -6mm offset wheels. However, I am concerned that the -6mm offset will stick the tire (plan on running stock 265/65-17 in lieu of 18" tires) too far past the fender. I know the offset on the 17" TRD Sport wheels is +30mm and assume the offset for these 18" is similiar. My question is, how much will the MB TKO/265/65-17 combo stick out past the fenders? It appeared in review that it could be over 2.5" considering the difference in wheel width and offset. Also, should there be concern with any wear on the bearings/front end components with this combo considering the -6mm offset? Thanks.

Assuming the chrome clad 18's have the same width and offset as the 17's, the MB wheels will stick out 2" more than the stock wheels do.

Thanks. At 2", it looks like it would stick the tire about an 1" outside of the fender flare, which will add to the aggressive look. The only thing I would be concerned about would be if there would be an extra stress on the bearings/front end components. Does anyone know if this would an issue given it is not too drastic? 2" just seems like alot.
