I have a 2000 2.4L 5 lug that has some tired suspension. I dont think anything has ever been replaced and I load it up quite often so the rear end pretty much drags on the ground at times. It’s got 240K kms and the engine has been adequately maintained so there I think it’s worth throwing some money into the suspension to freshen things up. I know theres a million and one resources on here which I have read and come to a conclusion of what I want.
The goal is for it to be a utilitarian truck, I dont care if there is much rake but I’m probably going to add some spacers just for larger than stock 14 wheels.

    For the rear:
    ICON add a leaf kit
Bilstein 5100. I made sure to get the correct ones to account for the left vs. right side difference in length
Brake like has lots of slack so I dont think I need a longer line.

    For the front:
New upper and lower ball joints
Upper and lower control arm bushing replacements
    Sway bar bushings
    Bilstein 4600
OEM replacement coils, I think the number is 81072 from MEVOTECH
Then the spacers as mentioned above to give a little more clearance for some 15 or 16 inch steelies with something like a 245/70 tire. Not looking for an offroad look but more just big boy tires rather than something off a Yaris.

Does it look like I’ve done my homework? Any recommendations or additional items are welcome.

Just joined the 5 lug crew myself. Also looking for a coil spring replacement and is the first I’m hearing of the MEVOTECH coil spring. Did you pull the trigger, do they fit? I have heard a lot of mixed thoughts on coil options for the 5 lug. I have a 96 mini and am looking for get some more clearance for my 225/70/15.

i just received all my parts, I probably won’t get around to installing for another month or so but everything I’ve read indicates they will fit. The springs wont provide any lift aside from bringing it back to stock height after 24 years and 250,000kms of use.
