I guess out of the three times I have called Toyota Corp. about my 3rd gen I have just been lucky enough to talk to the right people. I have never been told to live with it. It was always started with "I will get our regional Toyota rep to look at it or give you a call". It did end with "as of right now there is no new fix, but they are working on one". That is far from saying "its normal, live with it." Its pretty good customer service.

This was before Rev 1 TSB that fixed most of my problems with this truck. If I want more response in the gas pedal I just switch ECT PWR on.

I do hope they find a perfect marriage for this motor, if they keep on using it, with a better geared tranny. Time will only tell.

Yea, If traffic was not a pain where I live and work I would have gotten a manual to begin with.

So, heres the problem I have with you and Smitty and the others posting up like you. In the first 2 posts of yours I quoted you are basically saying Toyota told you to go fuck yourself. But in the third post you are honest about what Toyota told you, which is they are sorry and want to fix it, but don't have the issue sorted through yet, but they are working on it.
So what that makes you is a DRAMA QUEEN and from this point on you don't really have any credibility.
And you wonder why so many of us are not taking you seriously?
And as for your picture of all the "unsold" tacos and your comment. Go look at the build dates, write the vins down, and come back in a month and see how many of them are left. Again, dishonesty from you.
There are more Toyota P/Us sold world wide than any other manufacturer. Period. That means there will be more initial problems arise than any other manufacturer. Its just the way it is. But there are a hell of a lot more people who have good trucks than those with problem trucks. Simple fact.

I guess you and I were the only ones that figured that out.
The rest of the drama queen hater crowd were ready and gleeful in their shitpile mentality. Facts be damned.

So I used to work in retail. We had customers that had something to complain about every time they came in. Didn't matter how hard we worked, some people just cannot be pleased.

I see from the letter it says they are going to buy back the vehicle as well as refund all the payments on it. It would appear that you are saying this is them telling you to pound salt. Is this correct?

No im saying that if they had addressed the ridiculous and obvious problems that I wouldn't have had to get a lawyer and force them to eat it.
They don't give those letters out because they feel bad let me tell ya

Well congrats man. I just know if I have a bad breakup with a chick I'm probably not going to hop in her bed anytime soon. But you must just be a better man than me!

A little love goes a long way, brother! Heat of the moment stuff, don't worry about it. I'm sorry you and Smitty got raked over the coals. I wish your trucks were as nice as mine to drive!
