I have: 2016 DCLB TRD Sport.

    Book says:
    687474703a2f2f6936332e74696e797069632e636f6d2f326a666d32302e6a7067.jpg

    Toyota Tacoma e_brochure says:

Projector-beam headights with turn Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and integrated fog lights [standard on SR5]
Projector-beam headlights with LED Daytime Running Lights (DRL) and integrated wide-angle fog lights [standard on TRD Sport & TRD Off-road]

So, if you have a base model SR5, "the book" calls for an H16
If you have a TRD Sport or OR, "the book" calls for an H11
(Thanks to old-timer for the info)

BUT, since I ordered H11 PIAA Yellow bulbs based on that info guess what...
My TRD Sport has H16! lol.

Can I still install the H11 without issues?
I want to make sure I won't burn anything lol. And if it's safe, it will save me the pain in the butt to have to return the item bought online.

H16 is a lower-wattage H11 bulb, that's all. If you have glass fog lights, they're 55w. If you have plastic, they're the standard 19W.

Why not just replace them with proper LED housings instead? ;)

    Different wattage though....

    Good question.
I guess I just always like PIAA standard halogen bulbs. I have no good argument not to go with LED apart from the fact that bulbs are cheaper and give me a satisfying result.

So if my truck has the H16 (lower wattage) I should NOT install the H11 I have?

As for LED's I am also concerned about quality (don't want to buy 10$ bulbs that are crap) and the face that they need some kind of power conversion thingy. (Noobie....)

If you have upgraded halogens and install them in plastic housings, you will likely damage them over time. Likely not immediately, but the odds are definitely increased.

We offer direct replacement fog light housings with proper output and made to last. Check 'em out just as another option: https://www.theretrofitsource.com/morimoto-xb-led-fog-lights-toyota.html.
