For the last month or so I debated on getting the ome lift kit in medium duty but after doing some research I read many complaints about the coils sagging and the Dakars squeaking. Should I just spend the extra bucks and go for kings or fox

I have run ome springs on tacomas for over 10 years and none have ever sagged to below their intended lift... Other ppl may have different experiences ‍♀️

Ran 887s on my 17 TRD sport, started with 2.5" of lift, settled to 2-2.25" after a month. Never sagged any lower than that after 20k more miles.

Was looking into ome myself. From what I read it's the new springs that settle and sag, and not the old kits...

I have OME 888's and HD Dakars. Both settled to their specified heights. No squeaks for me.

If it's worth it for your use case to get coil overs then go for it.

Rough Country spacers won’t sag and is far superior to all the high priced mumbo jumbo.

Get heavy duty Dakars and they won't sag, get 888 coils up front on nitrocharger shocks. All set no issues

Only squeaking I had in the rear were the bushing sleeves rubbing on the mounts. I swapped the bushings and the sleeves to Wheeler's and they were silent.

Settling for me happened when I loaded an aluminum plate bumper with full hoops, a winch, full skids and sliders on to 885's with the top plate spacers. Coilovers coming hopefully soon.

I spoke with folks at Headstrong about my experience with sagging OME springs. It sounds like ARB Australia changed suppliers/specs about a year ago and this is when the sagging issue crept in. I guess they revd the springs a few times and there were some known issues with some parts....

It would be really good for an ARB rep to fill us in on this...
