Got these photos of the underside. Bit worried about the one showing some cracks or is it a leak (img_0877). Any thoughts on whether there is a serious concern here??

    thx

I am not sure where you or that truck are located, but that truck is spotless (rust wise) underneath! It just looks like dirt build-up on the underside of that truck.

Frame looks pretty solid to me, those are water/stain marks from something, but I don't see anything to be worried about. At least not from the photos, I would still give it a good knock in all the right places to be sure!

I don't see any cracks. IMO that frame looks pretty clean. Where are you located and where (if known) is the truck from.

Second pic upper right is water marks from the a/c which drips right onto the frame, other than that the frame looks to be in dam good shape.

If the price is right, you'd better jump on that one. That frame looks great.

    The frame looks ok.
But the places it rust through first isn’t shown.

Rust eats through the frame next to the converters, and the one on the driver side is usually the one that shows up first.

And notice I said eat “through”. Because it usually starts inside the frame rail at those locations.

All in all, that frame looks good. I doubt it has any real issues.
Just keep it coated inside and out.

If you have the vin you can check with Toyota to see if the frame has been replaced.

The frame looks good to me. I bought an old Land Rover Discovery from Washington once and the underside was in great shape for being 20+ years old.

This..it wouldn't shock me if this is a reframe. If so, your interest level goes up a lot

That is condensation drip from AC. That truck looks great for an 09. Perhaps better than my 2015. You most live out west.

    That truck looks fine.

I doubt it is a reframe. Western washington and western oregon cars and trucks dont rust that much. We dont use much salt and there is lots of water to keep things washed out. My 2010 frame looks just like that one if not a little better. I my truck spent two years in ohio so i took it to the dealership for inspection. The dealership had not done a single frame replacement because it isnt really an issue here.
