I vote no on that one. Like has been said before, buy through an insurance company listing. At least you will have a very good idea with what you are buying. Personally, I would never buy a salvage vehicle but I understand why you might want to. Good luck!

I think it depends on your fab skills, because anything can be fixed. But if you aren’t good at electrical, mechanical, welding, and body work, it’s gonna cost you a pretty penny.

When I see a truck for purchase with Salvage title.. I run.. my only advise, plan on owning the truck until it almost dead or your almost dead or your planning a off road or race truck or something unique that does not need to be plated IMO.

I don't know of any late model wrecks that you can buy thru the insurance company.

They all use a middle man like Copart or similar.

I think you thinking when a person wrecks a vehicle the IC gives the owner the option to "buy back" the wreck.

All my Toyota Trucks gave been late model totals that I bought thru Copart.

Been doing it for 25 years.

It's only getting easier to repair them with the aid of the internet.

If someone wants to rebuild a truck, by all means do it!

Who gives a fuck if it's got a salvage title. I don't and neither do the people who buy these trucks from me after I'm done driving them.
