    Apologies. Have had sticky Keyboard.
I am glad the newer ones no longer have the oil burning problem. A fireman/medic I work with, his wife had a 2015 forester. Engine replaced twice due to the oil issue.
Found the dealer swapped short blocks with other oil burners instead of replacing with new, so, in 10K miles or so it started all over again. I believe from 2015 on the engines are fine. While mine is labeled a 2015, it was actually manf in Feb of 2014.
Subaru argues that the problems have to be exactly the same, caused by the same failure of same components, within 1st 36 months/36K miles. Although it has had the same issues, the dealer, while replacing the same sensors, has stated that they have repaired "different" problems, within their time/milage frame. They have also stated, that ANY problems, no matter how frequent, that happen after outside their time frame, do not fall under the lemon law.

    Again, my apologies sir.

Agreed paint on Subaru's is terribly orange peeled all over the pillars & fenders. Go through the lot at a Subaru dealership & take a look. Its like they think its acceptable to look that awful

Had an '05 xt and a '10. I'd take the 05 back in a heartbeat. The '10 was the better car, but had it's soul removed. Loved the sunroof in them. Both held up well, great cars for the value. Were anyways.
