No you’re absolutely right I just sold my 2nd gen tundra had 10k towing but 1100 pounds of actual payload indicated by the door sticker. My 4 cylinder regular cab 4x4 Tacoma has a higher payload!

Your first order of business once you buy the truck should be to put a banks monster ram intake. The grid heater bolt coming off of the stock intake and getting forced up into the valvetrain by #6 until complete engine failure is a well-documented issue that Dodge refuses to address (source, another source, yet another source) . DO NOT be a victim of this design flaw.

I wanted something like a 4wheel camper which are around 1300 pounds dry I mean I’ve seen tundras do it and I think the tundra payload is conservative but a diesel would have been better. I ended up buying a 4Runner lol

Well that shifted quickly. Not a bad call though. Can't say you would have enjoyed a larger payload truck regardless of fuel.
I don't daily mine for probably the same reasons.

No you were right would have made more sense if I had a 5th wheel, boat etc to tow 4Runner makes more sense for a camping rig and I still have my beloved taco with 6 ft bed

Best of both worlds. Where's the pics of the new 4Runner? Pretty sure that man rule #23 after purchasing a new toy.

    He purchased a 4Runner.

Good call though. I've owned two Cummins powered trucks. It would take a lot for this guy to go back to one (a divorce is included in this). Always worked on them. Couldn't imagine one with current emissions on them.

One of my coworkers has the same moon rock color. In person it's amazing. Pictures do not do it justice.

I think it looks the best on the Tacomas and worst on rav4 but I’m too the moon (pun intended)
