    Hello,

Interested in some of your opinions on front bumpers.

I just ordered a 2018 dbcb tacoma and the ome bp-51 kit with dakar leafs.
The truck is dual purpose, a daily driver, ( I run a small farm and garden business) so it gets loads thrown in and out of the bed. Then it is also my adventure rig. I want to run a 2" lift with the suspension, 255/75/17 tires.

I am looking into bumpers, on my older trucks I always went ARB. I was hoping to hear from someone who has installed the ARB, with a winch about how much does it weigh? Any drawbacks. The other option I was thinking, was the SSO concepts slimline, with out the push bar. For me its a full coverage or none at all. Thats just me. I know the SSO weighs a lot less, but it does lack the protection.

    Thanks

I would do a search on the forums for for ARB bumpers.
A few members have them but they are expensive and super heavy at 180 pounds.

Can look at other options like CBI, c4, pelfreybilt, Mobtown offroad and some others.

I have been looking at some of the options. In my opinion, alot of the bumpers seem to make the trucks look like trains or just ugly. I am not trying to make my truck mean or angry looking ha ha.

Do you need the protection? If you regularly run into animals, fence posts, immobile objects, etc., I would get something like an ARB. If that's not a concern, I like the Slimline or the Warn Semi-Hidden bumper.

I run an ARB. It works. Running a Warn 9500 with no issues. I do wish it had recovery points though

CBI had a really nice looking bumper without hoops that a lot of people like. A lot of people run lo-pro bumpers. I myself run a SSO Slim line. I will likely have to upgrade to a full plate bumper

Does anyone run Hefty Fabworks? I love it but they charge $2200 for it without options. I doubt anyone is buying it.

i could most likely get away with out full protection, I just always loved the classic style of the older ARB's and they have saved me a few times.

I am with you, CBI to me is the best looking option, for full protection other than the ARB. Hows Do you like SSO? I have been looking at them as well

Warn hidden winch mount is nice and affordable and lighter weight and looks fairly stock and no cutting

I have a SSO slimline on order and will eventually switch to a Demello. I am trying to keep the weight down.

I did have an ARB on my 08 and it was very stout.

Keeping the weight down is important for me as well. Thats why I started this thread, I know you can go Aluminum with CBI.

I was pretty sure that was the way to go, but after seeing it in person, it was not for me. I wish I liked the way it looked, they are amazing

I just saw that us offroad and pelfreybilt are making a hidden winch bumper for the 3rd Gen . Anybody out there got one with some pics? I am still on the fence with the ARB, I just have always had good luck with them and love the look. I see alot posts where people are complaining about how big they are for the 3rd Gen.
