Not high mileage, my 2018 is only at 26k, but absolutely love the manual transmission :)

I've only got some minor cosmetic stuff, but barely 20k on it, I have a 2021. No mechanical problems yet, knock on wood.

Only issue I've had with mine is the clutch pedal creak but it was fixed under a TSB. Wouldn't be driving a Tacoma if it wasn't offered with a manual.

I just found a ‘23 Pro Gray with M/T at a dealer in cali that wasn’t spoken for already (they had 4 pro M/T - 2 gray, 1 black, 1 solar octane). I had deposits down at all my local dealers in/around Boston. I figured unless I got lucky it would become harder and harder to find. I bit the bullet and paid $5k over msrp but that includes covered shipping from Cali to my house. Can’t wait for it to show up in a couple weeks. Good luck hunting everyone. Agree that the 4th gen won’t have a M/T especially if it gets a hybrid engine like the sequoia/tundra. I am sure it will have better tech, but can’t pass up on a third pedal!

Nice find, good looking truck. Dealer near me has the same one with a stick, i'm sure it was ordered by some rich guy's kid months ago, hoping it arrives while i'm there for service tomorrow.

You don't care about tech packages. Those are not the tacoma gold rush days of 2021-current. You could literally buy this truck anywhere then, at a discount.

Aisin always has their own model names for transmissions though, which you probably know, and supply a number of manufacturers, so it's not that weird I guess.

Toyota W5x is the Aisin AW5
Toyota Rx5x is the Aisin AR5
Toyota J160 is the Aisin AZ6 (Subaru TL70, Nissan FS6R92A)
Toyota RA6x is the Aisin AY6
Toyota RC6x is the Aisin AC6

    Etc.

When I picked up my MT, it had this nifty sign on the dash.

Does your shifter rattle with this set up? I find mine does, I used to have the grommet mod before I got the black cap like that but now I hear it rattle every time I shift from 1st to 2nd.

Probably so no Lot-Jockeys or anyone else at the Dealership damages anything.

Maybe I am here only to crap on the thread. However, unless the OP is willing to pay a markup, the consideration has to be on part of Toyota and its dealerships for OP to get a TRD Pro with the 6MT. I have had a TRD Pro 6MT on order since Jan 2021. It is finally built and being delivered this month. Granted I am in an area that does not get a lot of Pro 6MT's, but I searched wide and long for it and no one who had one would budge on the markup.

I guess you didn't call my dealership; zero markups, regardless of which vehicle you want.

Maybe not. But did they have a TRD Pro 6MT in stock without markup that wasnt already spoken for?

Nope, at the time virtually all new vehicles on their lot had been allocated to those who'd placed deposits months before. A year ago I think I only saw a single new car anywhere on either their lot or in their showroom, and that was a base model Corolla.

Its in a very wealthy town where that is commonly the norm. The average household income is like 236k/year...AVERAGE.

So? I don't understand why you'd assume that someone is buying it for their kid, and even if they were, who cares?

I ordered a TRD Pro for myself. What assumptions would you like to make about me?

If I received a Lamborghini as a gift, I'd sell it the next day and order a proper sports car that doesn't look like something a 6 year old drew with crayons- a Porsche 911 GTS with manual transmission in adventurine green. As for income, you're a tad high, but thanks.
