So you want to spend $10k to be an absolute poser?

Well, once you pay for the kit, pay for the shocks, pay for the fiberglass, pay for the wheels and tires, then pay for someone to install it all for you, you're gonna have to pay for someone to maintain it for you.

What are you worried about the LT suspension holding up to? It won't break when you're flexing for the 'gram in the mall parking lots. Might get clapped out from all the shit you'll catch for being a tool, though.

@Silver taco 09 To answer your question... yes and no. While you probably won't be needing to check the suspension every weekend to make sure it doesn't fly off. Once a month or so you should. Even stock stuff loosens up periodically and should be checked, so completely replacing every part and not doing minimal maintenance is a guaranteed wreck...

Also, look above your post to my last response, you'll see what I answered to the other guy looking to fake LT. You can easily spend a fraction of the cost and still get the look without the performance if you're never gonna take it off road.

Okay man thanks I just read it I appreciate the help. Is there any downside to spindle as far as day to day driving? Looking into those now

Nope, if you're a 2WD theres pretty much zero downside to running lift spindles. Except if you keep your stock tires, then it looks like you skipped leg day. The plus side is you can tailor your ride however you want it, IE preload/coil weight, since all of the lift is in the geometry of the spindles and not coils.

    This.

Might as well just buy LT then.

Or get some rims with like 3.5 backspacing and some 2" spacers, and then jack the front end up with coilovers.

I have fn FX pro rims with 4.5 backspacing, so if I got some spacers and coils and shocks I could still have that prerunner/trophy truck look? Just obviously without the performance of the LT? Thanks so much for all the help @VolcomTacoma

Yep. Or look into something like a drop bracket lift, usually 4-6", as it replaces the spindle and comes with all the needed components. For max bro lift, don't install any of the rear stuff.

If you toss some 1.5" spacers on up front with those rims, youll be roughly 2.5" out over stock. Zero performance gain other than increasing your wheel turn radius arc, but no real need to drop alot of money in it if you're not looking for performance.

Hey guys, its his truck, if he wants to be a mall crawler with the fake LT look, I say have at it. Better than blowing a bunch of cash to LT the front, not touch the back, and then wreck your shit trying to keep up with other fully LT'd trucks.

Not really, if you don't go off road and its all for looks then you might as well switch to spindles

I must be behind the times here...since when did guys consider LT the first thing to do if they want more lift? Not to be a troll by any means...but I thought going for a lift kit/coils/spindle lifts would of been the first move for those guys who don't need the off road performance?

I don't. Its a big investment, and not worth it for someone who just wants it to "look like a trophy truck."

You won't break anything except your bank account for absolutely no reason.

Spacer lift your front end, throw some 2" wheel spacers on there, grab your flattest bill hat and the tallest, darkest black socks you can and have at it.
