I'd first get a locker/regear and such if that's the kind of terrain you run as i think you'd benefit more from them then a LT kit, but it couldn't hurt.

I know all the LT guys will hate me for saying this but an SAC is really simple for an older Toyota P/U (but that really depends on your terrain and uses).

Or...SAC the pickup and LT the 2nd Gen:cool:

Wow. thanks For the write up. I think I will go with the regular lift kit to clear larger tires until I have the money and a Shop to work on my own truck. I am a wrench and very capable. but I dont have the resources (garage) at hand. I will make it a desert runner one day. just not Ta-day

Why do you say to do the rear first? Wouldn't she sit like a Cali lift but the total oppsite?

    ...too much shit to list.
Don't know what you mean by "cali lift" but the point of the post is you want the rear to outperform the front. You'll get way better performance out of a rear LT and MT up front than the other way around.
If you build the front up first, you end up with a front suspension that is never used to it's potential because the ass is bucking all over the place.

    It's called "Rake"

You need to read more first (about LT & Trucks in General) Before that even comes into play. It takes quite a while (months) to learn what I would consider an adequate knowledge to consider LT. Not being rude, just don't want someone to make a mistake without knowledge & know how to back it up.

I am really enjoying my King 2.0s, but now starting to regret getting them before considering a LT kit. I'm getting some rub whenever I get more than a couple feet in the air and was looking for more clearance. I think this post is perfectly meant for me; not a wrencher or experienced, just wanting to get some air!

My buddy suggested a body lift, but I know that can be its own ball of wax.. I only need a couple more inches, but the guys at my local shop said I can't extend the Kings any further because I don't have enough travel. I don't think I'll consider going LT, but I was wondering if I even can with the 2.0s or if I would need new shocks. Would you have any recommendations to allow for more air with minimal mods? I use it as a Daily Driver too, so I'm trying to find that balance of a reliable vehicle that I can go smash on the weekends. Should I just man up and get the body lift, or is that not really going to solve my issue?

    Appreciate the advice fellas,
    -Steven

vehicles are designed to stay on the ground. LT doesnt make it safe to "catch air". To catch air safely, you need a full cage and full frame platting, boxing, and gusseting, or else your frame will have stress fractures, engine mounts will fail, and everything will fall apart after a few big air hucks. If you really want air, sell your truck and buy an airpane

When I go fast with allpro LT it feels like my front end is going to fall the fuck off.

It would rather bottom out over small bumps than soak anything up

Couple shocks, some old tires, and a bad paint job
First things first, go to your reservoir and make sure there is pressure in there by doing a quick check on your bleed valve. Chances are they weren't allowed to charge your shocks through shipping so they bled them to about 15psi to make sure the o-rings didnt leak during transfer. If you can find a nitro charge then that would be your best bet.

Otherwise if you have access to a nitrogen tank and can order extra oil, pull them apart and get a micrometer to see what width and thickness are on your shocks and report them back to here for a better break down of what was set up for your shocks.

jumping should be the least of concern, when they start going fast on anything besides a gravel road, such as whooped out areas and places that are rutted from the rain/ winds there shit is gunna rattle lose and have all kinds of frame flex unless they cage the vehicle up and secure it. The random pops and hard un-expected hits are what make ur truck fall apart and turn into a tin can. Not to mention if you want to huck ur shit, ur gunna want a secondary shock, or u'll have the worlds stiffest coilover to compensate and so it'll feel like ur not even going through any of your travel through 70% of the terrain and it will ride rough as hell for the most part or atleast untill your shocks are well heated up. Regardless you gotta pay to play. If you just skip the paying part and go at it like Robby Gordon ur gunna pay later to fix all the spider cracks or worse when u look at the truck up-side down with the roof smashed down to your seats
