I was eyeballing the Mammoth 3-Inch Front / 2-Inch Rear Leveling Kit. I have never done a lift or owned a lifted vehicle. I have stock wheels and will leave stock tire/wheels, for a while at least. The install looks simple enough.

How can this be expected to affect handling? Gas mileage? Reliability? Anything else I should know or consider? Thanks!

This kit is commonly called a "spacer lift" kit. It's the most cost-effective way to do a lift. Of all the way to do a lift, it will return the least performance benefits. Typically done for looks only. Lots of information on this site if you search around.

Handling: Doubtful anything will improve with this kit. It will either be the same or worse. Probably worse.

Fuel economy: Lifting never results in better gas mileage, but to what degree there is no hard truths. Your mileage may vary - literally.

Reliability: Up front it will increase stress on your ball joints and tie rod ends. In the rear it will increase the driveshaft angles putting more stress on U joints, carrier bearing, and possibly the rear diff pinion. You may need to correct the rear pinion angle.

My personal opinion is that spacer lifts are silly, if you are doing this just for looks yet keeping stock tires that's extra silly, and doing an actual suspension lift is a better solution long term. But hey you do you. Good luck.
