The TruxMat trims real easy, just use a new utility razor blade and a 18" ruler as a straight edge.

I trimmed about an 2" inward and about 8" in the middle to clear the front console. And about an inch off the passenger seat side. No trimming needed on the side that buts up to the rear of cab.

Since wife and I are so called empty nesters, truck does exactly what I need. When I started looking for a 4cyl 5speed 4x4 I wanted the the rear jump seats just in case. In the last year of owning it, I have hauled one of the kids twice. The rear area is usually used in hunting season for related stuff. The 6ft bed has been loaded down several times moving kids to and from college, so bed length is and will be more important for me.

Love the ‘16 AC. 25,000 miles, had a kid in backseat once for 5 miles.

Never Never Modify! Keep it aggravation free!
I had a 2009 long bed 4 door and I missed my 2008 access cab. The 4 door long bed was a clumsy big piece of crap. It was a pain to park and the handling at high speed was terrible. I now have a 2019 access cab and the handling is much better and way more fun to drive. Access cab all the way! Also, everyone has their own opinion so good luck with it.
