2nd gen, base model tacomas are 5 lugs. That truck is a 6 lug. it appears thats likely a low end sr5 model tuck.

FYI - its a 2015 so thats the last year of the body style. They could have compiled this truck with extra inventory they had left from other models from the manufacture.

I am, the only problem is we are trading in my wife's 2015 Accord and understandable they wont give us a price without looking at the car. I found a few great deals in and around Atlanta, its just a long way to go without know that we are going to get what we need for the Accord. We have a friend that works for Hendrick so they can get these transported local.

@JWL found the info. Its a Double Cab Convenience Extra Value Package, which it looks like they started offering in early 11.

I dont mean to come off as a dick. The price is that outrageous though.

Being mean would mean not saying anything about it. Bros have to look out for one another.

PS all of us are out of our minds. Many people here have as much money in mods as the original purchase price of the truck!

I don't think you're being a dick, I just don't seem to think its that bad a deal in relation to what is available in my area.

I agree it looks like a base 4x4 double cab. NADA average trade in is around 27,850, so price seems pretty reasonable.

No one ever buys a car for the dealer list price. Negotiate a better deal, worst case is you waste a couple hours. Best case you get a decent price on a truck that fits your needs. Sounds like you want to change some stuff anyways. Low mileage is a plus.

Consider selling your Honda as a private sale.

    That's a clean looking truck.

I don't find that price horrible considering what it is. If it's in your budget...rock n roll. Your money, spend it as you see fit.

Modifications will change the appearance quickly....especially color matched grille surround.

Looks like a base model which I could rock.

Be patient, you'll be able to find a better deal. It's a bit steep for a base model with above industry standard miles.

Yea, it's a "base" model. Black plastic flares and bumpers give it away. There is the base 5-lug, and the base 6-lug. This one is obviously the 6-lug version. I have a base and love it. I liked the black flares and black interior accents instead of the silver that gets scratched. Plus I planned on swapping out the suspension, wheels, tires, and bumpers anyway. So was pointless to spend a couple grand more on items I was going to change anyway.

The differences in a base from what I've noticed are: Black fenders, black bumpers, 2 speed wipers, black interior accents instead of silver, no fog lights, no back up camera, and I'm sure there are a couple other small differences.
If you do go with that truck, you might get lucky, it might be pre-wired for all the fancy add-ons. Mine was pre-wired for the fogs, back-up camera to include the mirror plug, as well as the compass/temp overhead console. So it's as easy as scanning the classifieds here and picking up the parts cheap. Also, the variable wiper switch is an easy swap out too. Just pop the 2 speed switch out and pop in the variable one. That was my first mod since 2 speed wipers are worthless.

I agree that 27 seems high, but it is a clean 2015 with relatively low miles. Go in there and negotiate with them since it is a base and try to get a few grand off. Looks like it was well taken care of, and in the end I'd rather have a clean base than an "ok" TRD. The differences are minimal considering most people swap them out for superior parts anyway.

I've been in the same boat trying to find a 4x4 DCLB. Ive had the best luck with CarGurus website. It has the best filters and a good selection.

I know a 2015 4x4 SB TRD Off Road went for 26.5k on there last week, you just have to stay on top of it.

The miles and package upgrades are worth more than the 1000 price difference. Seems much better than first base model.

The Off Road is a better deal. If you like what you see when you look at it in person I say jump on it.

Im not sure if they both sold or if the links are broke but when I click on them it goes to the inventory, not a specific truck. The 2015 SW Sport punisher machine is interesting. I just want to know if he has an auxiliary fuel tank or if the PO just got a good deal on a fuel gauge. Either way that truck has some expensive toys, I'd be interested to see what suspension he put under it. Heck the camper, winch and DVD player and all nice little upgrades. If it has a nice nice lift it could be an awesome starting point.
