    Hello gents.

I have owned 3 Toyotas, no Tacos.
    1974 Toyota Hilux 4MT (2WD, 4cyl, regular cab)
    1988 Toyota pickup 5MT (4WD, 22re, regular cab)
    1993 Toyota pickup 5MT (4WD, 3.slow, ext. cab)

Currently on my 3rd Jeep Cherokee XJ as well, but have been eyeing a new Taco for a while.

I have been go back and forth between the 2017 TRD OR and the 2017 TRD Pro, either way it will be a 6MT. Since I've all but justified going over $40k for the Pro, I am actually giving a little consideration to the Raptor now too, but leaning towards the Pro. Don't kill me.

Haha welcome! There's a big difference between an F150 and a Tacoma, aside from all the extra stuff. Do you need the extra room and hauling capacity? Are you ok with (I'm guessing) worse mileage? If you live in a city, parking the ford will be a bit tougher than the taco.

Will you plan on running the raptor at high speeds? Slower off roading? Only asking because you can buy an OR and beef it up to your liking and come out well under 40k.

Go with the TRD OR. Add what u want. Be ahead of the game over the pro or the Ford.
I have the 17 OR. Pondered the pro as well. But u can get everything like the pro added o the OR and save so much money.

    Welcome man.

If you can stomach the Raptor price then get what you want man. Both score high on the cool scale IMO. I'm guessing getting a Raptor for <$55k anytime soon is gonna be a trick but I could be wrong.

I hate to even say this, but if you are looking at alternatives to the Taco, you might consider the Chevy Colorado ZR2, which should be coming out soon. It looks pretty sweet.

    Buy the raptor.

Welcome to TW. Follow your belly button. Or as @scottalot says, follow your gut.

Raptor is more in your face and "blingy" and only excels in mud and sand imo. The TrdPro is a waste of money imo especially when you can buy the TrdOR and suit it up better than the Pro for less (depending on how far you're willing to spend for capability)
