Hey guys I'm considering installing a u-bolt flip kit. Not sure it is necessary for my uses (forest rd romps) Has anyone banged up thier NON flipped ubolts/ubolt nuts/bracket on rocks? Im sure it happens, but I've been on here for awhile and I haven't heard of any stories of people hanging up there. Interested in hearing about what damage was caused, and how it happened.

I don't recall any reports of major damage to factory bracketry / u-bolts over the years. By virtue of being so close to the wheel, they tend to stay out of harms way.

I will say that if you're going to go wheel in the rocks, then it's certainly a good idea to flip them on the principal of increasing ground clearance.

It's one less thing to get hung up on, and easy mod to do.

I put them on when I upgraded my suspension. I don't rock crawl. I am mostly on trails, unmaintained roads, etc.
Does keep things from sticking out that potentially could catch.
